Robert Diamond is Evo Pricing's Chairman, and a successful entrepreneur with a track record of creating value from customer data.
After 13 years in the retail data space, in 2001 Robert founded what became emnos - the leading provider of 'customer centric' services and decision-support tools. Clients included top retailers (Target, Walgreens, Morrisons, Waitrose, Boots, Co-operative Group) and their FMCG suppliers. The business was sold to Palamon Private Equity in 2007 and then sold on to American Express in 2011. Robert moved on to an executive role at private equity-owned RAC Motoring Services, as well as overseeing a portfolio of private investments.
Outside of this Robert manages a private portfolio covering early-stage retail technology start-ups; lifestyle & hospitality investments; commercial & residential property; and classic cars. Robert is an elected member of the Young Presidents Organisation and regular media contributor (and TED talker) on the use of customer data. He lives in the UK and US with his wife and four children.
Sunil, Scientific Advisor
Sunil Gupta is a scientific advisor to Evo Pricing, and the Edward W. Carter Professor of Business Administration and Chair of the General Management Program at Harvard Business School. He is also the co-chair of the executive program on Driving Digital and Social Strategy. From 2008-2013, he served as the Head of the Marketing Unit.
Sunil's research includes digital technology and its impact on consumers and firm strategy, as well as customer management, pricing, and return on marketing investment, with 2 books and over 80 articles, book chapters, cases and notes on these topics.
Sunil advises and speaks to leading companies around the world, and he frequently appears on several national and international television programs, such as CBS, CNN, NPR and BBC, and has been quoted in Forbes, The Fast Company, The New York Times and The Washington Post. Sunil holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, and a Ph.D. from Columbia University.
Howard, Business Advisor
Howard Langer is a business advisor to Evo Pricing, and he is also the Managing Director of the Global Price & Promotions Practice at dunnhumby, working with leading retailers globally. A former retailer, Howard spent much of his career delivering Price and Promotions programmes from senior merchandising and marketing roles in the UK while at the Kingfisher Group, one of the largest retail groups in Europe.
Howard is the founder and Chair of the Retail Pricing Forum in the UK, a group dedicated to improving the Price & Promotions capability in retailers. He is a visiting lecturer at both the University of Southampton and Warwick Business School in the UK. Howard is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a degree in Accountancy (University of Exeter – UK) and a post graduate qualification in Strategic Retailing from the University of Oxford (Said Business School).
Davide, Business Advisor
Davide Sola was the first to join the business advisory board of Evo Pricing. A Phd in Enterprise Economics from the University of Turin, Professor Sola today is full faculty member at ESCP EUROPE teaching in London, Paris and Madrid.
His research interests span across corporate transformation, entrepreneurship and applied enterprise economics. His latest book "How to think Strategically. Your roadmap to Innovation and results", published by the FT, was nominated as Management book of the Year by the CMI and theBritish Library.
Davide is the co-founder and President of 3H Partners, a leading Entrepreneurial Solution Provider firm, supporting the top management of leading corporations from a wide range of industries ranging from Healthcare to Energy to Technology to Financial Services.

Laura, Scientific Advisor
Laura Sacerdote is a scientific advisor to Evo Pricing and a full professor of Probability and Statistics at the Department of Mathematics of Turin University.
She coordinates the M. Sc. in Stochastics and Data Science of Torino University alongside administrative roles in Department and School commissions. Previously she has been a tenured research associate and then Associate Professor of Probability and Statistics at the Universities of Salerno and Turin.
Her interests focus on the application of the theory of stochastic processes to biological modelling with special focus on neuronal modelling, with a strong interdisciplinary character, including collaborations with Computer Scientists, Physicists, Neuroscientists, Statisticians and Mathematicians.
Roberta, Scientific Advisor
Roberta Sirovich is a scientific advisor to Evo Pricing and a researcher at the University of Torino. Her research interests include stochastic models for single neuron membrane potential, studying the stochastic leaky integrate and fire with discontinuities and jumps, and new definition of the firing time. She is involved with the parameters estimation of such models and hence she masters statistics for stochastic processes. Given her increasing interest for mathematical statistics, she also started working on information theoretical measures estimation, as well as the approximation of sequences of parameter dependent Markov chains.
Her education includes an MSc in Mathematics 2001 (University of Torino), PhD in Mathematics (University of Torino) and in Molecular Biology (University Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France) 2006.
Oded, Scientific Advisor
Oded Koenigsberg is a scientific advisor to Evo Pricing, and he serves as a faculty in London Business School since 2012 and a faculty in Columbia University Graduate School of Business between 2002 to 2012. He covers a wide range of topics in marketing strategy, pricing and the interface between marketing and manufacturing, grounded in his 12-year business experience prior to becoming an academic.
He develops models that attempt to incorporate the cross-functional aspects of firms' marketing management decisions for leading academic journals. Oded holds a bachelor and master degrees in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and has received his Ph.D. in Operations Management from Duke University.
Marco, Scientific Advisor
Marco Bertini is a scientific advisor to Evo Pricing, as well as an Associate Professor and head of the marketing subject area at ESADE (Barcelona, Spain), with a key focus on questions related to monetisation. Marco holds a DBA from Harvard Business School, an MBA from IESE, and undergraduate degrees in Arts and Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
His research investigates the psychology of pricing decisions, both for marketing scholars (Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research and Marketing Science) and management professionals (Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review). This work appears in print media and television — most recently in the BBC, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Financial Times, The Times and Wall Street Journal.
