Marketing Group Seminar Series

The Marketing Group is pleased to present the following seminar:

The Science Behind Dynamic Pricing

Fabrizio Fantini
12.00-14.00, 6th March
North Room, 10 Trumpington Street

Abstract
Data is changing the world. But just at the same time while more data is becoming available, making accurate business predictions is unfortunately becoming increasingly difficult: buyers are more and more volatile, diverse and demanding.

Fabrizio will reveal how optimal prices can be derived and maintained in diverse industries, such as fashion, retail and insurance, based on his first-hand professional experience. The conversation will focus on real-life applications but also underlying scientific challenges, many of which point to significant gaps in the current academic literature.

About the Presenter
Fabrizio is the brain behind Evo. In 2009, he discovered new predictive algorithms that could outperform even the most complex and expensive commercial pricing systems. Combining his PhD results with the learnings of a Harvard MBA and 10 years of consulting for global CEOs at McKinsey, led to the vision of value creation from a symbiotic relationship between people and technology.

Today, the pricing algorithms of Evo build on human intuition, instead of aiming to replace it. Better management decisions, every day, in partnership with the very best academics from around the globe. Artificial intelligence software that helps clients achieve extraordinary results and sustain them over time, with a distinctive “unlimited support” delivery model.

He is thrilled to help clients create value and loves creating powerful but simple to use solutions. His ideal software has no user manual but enables users to stand on the shoulders of giants.
